OMG! WMC week has come and gone as quick as you could say WMC. Now that I've somewhat recovered I can regail you with stories from my adventures. This was a really great/productive conference for me hot off my collab on Illeven Eleven, which by the way, got an amazing review in the April edition of Mixmag UK (shown below)! Yay! Although it's a lot of work running around to endless parties and six gigs, it was definitely worth all the fun and laughs. Besides, where else can you see all your friends from around the world at the same place & same time?

So here is a very brief summary of the week: Having slept the entire flight to Miami on Wednesday, I was ready to rock upon my arrival to our North Miami mansion! My first gig, Bomb Giggity, unfortunately had to switch venues so I only played a few records there before heading to Project Mayhem's Social Gathering to play with my girl Jen Lasher as well as Richie Balboa, who filled in for an absent Elite Force. Thursday, I saw all my friends at Bring On the Beats pool party before playing 2 more gigs that night. Stanton Sessions vs. Hot Cakes vs. The Booty Farm was wicked fun! The line-up included 2 Live Crew, Splack Pack, Stanton Warriors, Deekline, Fort Knox Five, Baby Anne, Keith Mackenzie, Sporty-O, myself and more homies! I had to duck out back to South Beach for a bit to play at Break Loose with Martin Roth, Breakdown, Forest Green, etc. but was back rocking to 2 Live Crew before you knew it! Friday, we checked out the Beatport pool party, then there was a video shoot at our crib for Deekline & Dustin Hulton's tune with Splack Pack & Sporty-O... booty shaking girls and all! That night was the epic Future Sound of Breaks 8.0 Massive. The biggest Breaks/Drum & Bass/Dubstep/Electro line-up you've ever seen stateside, and it delivered! I had so much fun rocking the Illeven Eleven room, which has the biggest BASS of the party, IMO. By Saturday everyone was exhausted but I somehow stumbled upon a super fun Burner party before the grand finale of my gigs, our Illeven Eleven label party: I LOVE ILL. It was so fun to play with all my friends & label mates after partying with everyone all week. Even though the weather was dismal much of the week and I didn't leave with a tan, I still thought that this was my favorite WMC ever!
OoooKaaaay... back to business as usual. This weekend I have 3 gigs in San Francisco; Tuesday, I play for Champagne & Bacon in Reno. Tomorrow night I'm playing after Uberzone at Ruby Skye, then directly after at a super secret underground fundraiser for my beloved Burning Man camp, Opulent Temple. The third seal is about to be cracked open. Intimate vibe on a fat sound system in a cool space with all night amenities for the guests. We look forward to another special get together for extended friends of Opulent Temple who want to make a night of it with us. Space is limited and presale tickets are available on a first come first serve basis. Once two hundred and fifty presale tickets have been sold the party will be full and tickets will not be available at the door!
The way this works is you get a pre-sale ticket which makes you a 'member' for the night. That gives you entry and free everything all night long (like from the bar, understand?) If you don't, please write us for clarification. This doesn't mean you're joining OT as a member, just that you're coming to this event.
