Happy Cinco De Mayo aka Mexican Independence Day aka Rise Up Against Arizona Day! Now that my gratuitous political message is out of the way, I present to you the new edition of my Bass & Puppies blog. Admittedly, it's been a (long) while since the last one because I've been so incredibly busy that my blog posts as of late have just been quick updates and silly self-promo. But enough about me already! The whole inspiration behind the B & P name was that I would regularly feature my current fave music that gives me BASS FACE (I mean, bass so dirty you will need a heavy dose of hand sanitizer afterwards), followed by some damn adorable puppies (who doesn't love puppies?). It's something for everyone!

Even though a lot of the music I play hails from our good ol' British friends in the UK, there is an abundance of AMAZING talent all over the States that hold it down and often don't get the recognition they deserve. This week's featured BASS invader is San Franciso's very own, Ground Control - a recent LA transplant. My boy Jason has been pumping out beats for a decade now and I wanted to share one of his tracks with you. Maybe it's my ever-growing fondness for Dubstep, but when I heard this hard-hitting dirty monster, I literally started head-banging, sans the greasy rocker hair and megadeth t-shirt. Sick whomp-whomp bass and a very clever sample. I also just found out it's going to be released next week on Reid Speed's label, Play Me. Check this shizzle out, my nizzles:

Before I get to the PUPPIES segment, I'd like to have a moment of silence for the poor baby deer that the Oakland Police, who are notorious for their shooting-first-asking-questions-later policy, shot 7 times this weekend just because it got lost and ended up in someone's backyard. Shame on you, stupid neanderthal pigs! There's nothing I hate more than sense animal cruelty...

Sorry for the downer, but this really disturbed me today. Luckily, puppies will cheer anyone up, so look at these lil' guys. So cute it will make you want to barf rainbows:

I hope you've enjoyed my blog posting, more to come soon! If you crave more beats and BASS and haven't already, please download my new mixtape Weapon Of Choice Vol. 3

Yours Truly,
