ICONtact: Decompression Madness

Yay! Happy October, or ICONtober as I like to call it – hehe! October is my favorite month – not only because it’s my birthmonth, but because of all the other super fun events that also happen this month in San Francisco, such as Decompression, Halloween and LoveFest/Parade/volution. I don’t care if Lovevolution happened a week earlier this year, it still counts! I had an amazing time at the festival playing on the Dancetronauts Strip Ship, we had one of the best stages as far as music, vibe and crowds all day. In fact, both times I have played on the Dancetronauts have been extraordinarily awesome! Check out this dope Youtube video that encapsulates the moment:

This week is especially action-packed. Thursday evening Opulent Temple is hosting ‘Sharktoberfest’ Nightlife, the Academy of Sciences’ weekly dance event. We will be exploring the sharks and rain forest while dropping beats for the museum aficionados. Additionally, this Sunday is one of San Francisco’s favorite street parties and reason for us to dress up in our burner best. Decompression is a traditional way for thousands of burners to get together and reminisce about the great times we had at Burning Man and the difficulties of re-entering the real world; it’s pretty much the closest thing to the Burning Man experience without actually stepping on the playa and without getting dusty. The street faire is a 100% benefit for the Burning Man Project. I will be there performing on the 22nd Street stage as well as on the Dusty Rhino artcar in the early evening – in my burner best, of course! Afterwards, don’t miss the annual Opulent Temple Decompression After-Party at Mighty; it’s always a smashing time with lots of support from other soundcamps.

Lastly, next weekend I will be supporting the annual Beats for Boobs breast cancer research benefit, not by playing music but by modeling in the fashion show. Come on down and show your support for boobies! 🙂
