Alright everybody, it’s been a great start to the Spring with lots of exciting happenings but now it’s time to get ILL! Our Illeven Eleven West Coast Tour starts tomorrow. We’ll be kicking-off the 4-city tour at Würk in Reno, then continuing south to Blye Prynt in Sacramento, Public Works in San Francisco and finally, Medusa Lounge in Los Angeles. We’re celebrating label boss Keith Mackenzie’s birthday which happens to fall on Cinco De Mayo weekend… what better reasons than those to get the ILL family together on the road for an extended weekend full of fun and shenanigans! And as an added bonus, we have the undisputed King of Breakbeat, DJ ICEY, joining us for half the tour at the Reno and San Francisco shows. w00t! Ground_Control and I have been busy in the studio this year making new music and we have some dope new originals, remixes and bootlegs to show for it. Our next release is a Bassline House remix for legendary Breakbeat duo Deekline & Ed Solo featuring the brilliant MC, Million Dan. “Reload” is coming out on Deekline’s label, Rat Records, and is part of their upcoming “Bounce and Shake” album. GC and I are stoked about this release, we believe this remix is some of our best work yet! Check out the preview on Soundcloud.
Aside from organizing tours and slinging beats, I’m also dedicating much of my time towards training for the 13.1mi. Kona Half Marathon I’m running on June 24th. I’m doing this for a worthy cause: to raise funds and awareness for Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America and to honor my dear friend, Tammy Hulva a.k.a.
